This is the text of a lecture I gave at the invite of Dr. Erwin Warkentin of Memorial University of Newfoundland, my alma mater on March 10th, 2011. It is reproduced mostly verbatim. The slides and numbers that I displayed are not here though (excuse the grammar etc. I didn’t bother to fix much). A couple of years back, two friends of mine from Memorial University and I started thinking about the idea of what value we bring to what people call ‘Social Media’....
